Police are calling for witnesses to come forward who may have seen an alleged daylight knife attack at a south Canberra restaurant last year.

A man was working at Orient Kitchen in Cooleman Court, Weston, at about 11.40 am on 12 December 2022 when he was allegedly slashed by another employee during a dispute.

ACT Policing said a crime scene was established in the restaurant and patrols circulated the area to find the alleged offender.

Officers also spoke with a number of witnesses who were inside the restaurant at the time but are aware some other customers left the restaurant while the alleged incident occurred and were gone before police arrived.
