
Police are seeking witnesses to an aggravated robbery outside the Tuggeranong Hockey Centre on Soward Way in Greenway on Monday.
A 75-year-old woman was standing next to her vehicle when a man approached and opened the rear passenger side door at about 11am.
When confronted by the woman, he threatened her with a knife. The offender took a large sum of cash from the victim’s purse before fleeing in a black station wagon eastbound towards the Tuggeranong Town Centre.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid-30s and about 180cm tall.
He was wearing khaki shorts, a short-sleeved orange high visibility t-shirt and an orange plastic fingerless glove on his left hand. The offender was clean shaven and wearing a yellow and blue construction style helmet.
Police are urging anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Greenway area at this time, can identify the offender or who has any information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
