Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ that are looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
This week, say hello to long-term resident Cadillac and super-cute Nate.
Cat of the Week – Cadillac
Meet sweetheart Cadillac, known to all at the Shelter as Caddy!
Caddy came to our Shelter through our Inspectorate in November last year and has needed plenty of love, time and care to learn how to socialise with new people. Cadillac has made slow, yet steady progress over the past few weeks and greets staff and volunteers at the door with a loud meow until he gets attention and is fed.
Still hesitant with strangers around, Caddy will certainly take time to suss out any new friends before giving in to the attention and head scratches that he loves. Cadillac is easily jealous and is in need of a home where he is the only animal, so he can steal all the attention of his new family.
Cadillac would suit a home with adults only and someone who has had some previous cat experience.
So if you’re on the market for a new, quiet friend, Caddy could certainly be the boy for you.
Dog of the Week – Nate
Meet the oh so charming Nate!
One handsome young bachelor, Nate is boisterous and bursting to meet a new family that he can call his own. A tall and lanky boy, Nate has been in the care of our Shelter since the start of the year and loves to stretch those legs and go on daily walks with our volunteers.
Nate is a playful young dog, who loves affection and scratches, especially on his butt! They say the way to a dog’s heart is through their stomach, and this is certainly the case with this boy. Nate loves his treats and is working hard on learning how to improve his doggy manners.
Nate would prefer a family with no other dogs, and someone who is prepared to put in the effort of continuing his training. We recommend Nate for a family with children 12 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.
If you have space in your heart for the gorgeous Nate, come and speak to our Kennels team.
Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston ACT 2611 and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
