Smiley Jake is patiently waiting to find a home to call his own!

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ that are looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to our ‘Pets of the Week’ – Handsome Jake and the snuggly Muppet & Pippin.

Dog of the Week – Jake

Look at this gorgeous face and let us introduce you to Jake, a tall, strong and dashing young man, patiently waiting to find the perfect family to call his own. Jake is a lovely mannered dog, who has found himself here through no fault of his own due to a change of his owner’s circumstances.

He isn’t the biggest fan of Shelter life and it can leave him feeling unsettled, so we’re keen to find a home that has a big back yard with lots of space for chasing his favourite tennis balls.

Jake LOVES water, and would be ecstatic to have a clam shell of his own that he could play and paddle in all the time. If you are the adventurous type this boy will be the dog for you, due to his size he’s going to need regular daily exercising to ensure that he keeps healthy and mentally stimulated.

Jake can be quite selective about the canine companions that he meets, so we think he would prefer to be an only dog and selfishly enjoy all the attention. Jake is recommended for a family with children 12 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Cats of the Week – Muppet & Pippin

This purr-fect duo Muppet and Pippin have been best friends for quite some time, and are looking to find a new home together after being surrendered at the start of this month.

While Shelter life does not suit this pair, you will never fail to find them snuggled together watching while the world goes by.

Muppet is the bravest of the dynamic duo and absolutely loves head and bum scratches. While Pippin is a little more reserved, some careful attention and patience is all that’s needed before she’s purring in your arms.

These ladies would love to live in a home that keeps them indoors and will appreciate supervised outdoor adventures once they have settled in. The girls are open to sharing their new home with a small dog, however, large dogs do scare them.

This purr-fect pair would love to find a more mature home away from young children, but wouldn’t mind living with a teenager (as long as they have a comfy bed to sleep on).

Muppet & Pippin’s previous owner let us know it’s hard to find one without the other, so we would love for these two to get adopted together.
