Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Trixie and Marshmallow are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the week: Trixie
Trixie hasn’t had the easiest start in life yet remains the gentlest soul you’ll ever meet. This gorgeous girl will show you nothing but love upon meeting you, and doesn’t fail to put a smile on anyone’s face.
Trixie adores anyone willing to give her affection and will give nothing short of it in return, with a wagging tail on top. This soft girl melts into your arms when given hugs and kisses, and won’t pass up on any opportunity to be a loving lap dog.
As a cattle dog, Trixie is filled to the brim with enthusiasm and has loads of energy to be worked (or played) off on a daily basis. She is highly intelligent, with beautiful self-control when it comes to giving back toys while playing games like fetch.
Trixie, if given the chance, would become your loving and loyal shadow.
Marshmallow loves lounging around.
Cat of the week: Marshmallow
Meet Mr Marshmallow, a beautiful and gentle-natured boy who will instantly melt your heart upon meeting. Marshmallow is a tubby tabby with a glorious mane, adding a layer of beauty in addition to his striking green eyes. This lazy boy never fails to catch up on his beauty sleep while lounging around, if not peacefully watching the world go by.
When he isn’t resting or receiving cuddles, Marshmallow enjoys exploring and familiarising himself with his surroundings. To him, a calm and quiet environment is the perfect environment, and him being the centre of attention is to be expected.
Marshmallow enjoys cuddles from his person and loves a good scratch on the head or belly, but also appreciates some space from time to time. The perfect home for Marshmallow would be filled with plenty of perches to climb on, and lots of couches to unwind on.
With the perfect balance of both affection and me time, Marshmallow would flourish in his new home with his playful side sure to bloom.

Monday to Friday: 10 am – 3 pm
Saturday: 9 am – 4 pm
Sunday and public holidays: Closed.
