Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Alfie and Missy are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Alfie
When Alfie first arrived at the shelter, he was quite scared and worried about his change in circumstances.
Over a period of time, with a soft, gentle approach, Alfie came out of his shell. He is often found lounging in the sun at the front of his kennel and enjoys some quiet one on one time with someone sitting with him, giving him pats.
Alife looks forward to his daily walks and enjoys quiet interactions with people. He doesn’t know much about toys, but given the right family and approach, we are sure he would love to learn.
Alfie will take a little time to settle into his new home, and he is looking for a perfect companion who is willing to establish a routine and give him the love he truly deserves.
We recommend a quieter household with older teens for Alfie. He would be happy to be an only dog but may be open to meeting a more senior female for company.
Cat of the Week – Missy
Pick up your phone, Missy is on the request line.
Missy is a lovely older girl who was brought to the shelter as a stray. Initially, she was a little nervous but has since settled nicely and is currently looking for her forever home.
Missy is sweet, affectionate and she will comfortably make herself at home and come and sit in your lap for a quick cuddle. Missy likes to put her Sherlock hat on and will often follow you around inspecting what you are doing.
While she is an affectionate girl, Missy has shown that she doesn’t love the animals here. We recommend that she be an only pet, and her perfect home could include sensible children.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
