RSPCA Pet of the Week - Emma

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to confident young Emma and the gorgeous girl Cleo.

Dog of the Week – Emma

Emma is a confident young pup who’s ready to take on the world and make it her oyster. However, Emma absolutely cannot do this alone and is looking for a committed family, prepared to put in the hard yards with training, exercise and socialisation.

Since arriving at the Shelter, Emma has come a long way with her manners but continues to learn how she can be the best dog she can be. Emma can be a boisterous pooch, so training will ensure her development as she matures.

Emma will most likely be a larger girl once fully grown, and exercise and enrichment will help keep her happy and healthy. Emma loves to play fetch, play games and learn new tricks with our staff and volunteers. This beautiful darling cannot wait to find her perfect match; she’s keen to be someone’s very best friend!

Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Cleo, cat of the week

Cleo cannot wait to find her perfect home!

Cat of the Week – Cleo

Meet the sweet-natured Cleo, who is looking to find a family to call her own!

Cleo was recently surrendered to the Shelter as her family introduced a service dog which stressed this darling girl out.

Due to this, we’ve discovered that Cleo has anxious tendencies she uses to calm herself in stressful situations. Cleo is on a special diet, and some medication to ensure that her time in the Shelter and transition to her new home can be as smooth as possible.

Cleo is a very affectionate lady who loves the company of people. If Cleo sits down on your lap, it’s an unspoken agreement that she will be there ALL day for cuddles.

After some time in foster, Cleo would be a fantastic companion for a single woman who is home a lot of the time. An inside home would suit Cleo best, perhaps with secure access outdoors once settled.

Please keep in mind that, due to her condition, Cleo is seeking the least stressful home she can find, so a quiet and routine-based home is the ideal match!

Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
