Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Holly and Gilderoy are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Holly

Meet Holly, the sweet American Bulldog! Holly is a darling older and refined lady who is looking for a comfy retirement home to call her own.

Holly is a bit of a sweetheart who would love nothing more than a home where she can mooch around with a variety of soft surfaces for sleeping and some delicious food.

At the moment, Holly loves spending her days out walking with our volunteers and socialising with our staff. Holly has previously had some life experience with older and mature children and would suit a loving and understanding family. Please remember that we recommend all interactions between children and dogs be monitored at all times.

Holly can be friendly towards other well-behaved dogs. However, young and boisterous dogs can be too much for her to endure. We think Holly could make a great companion for the right family that has the time, patience and lots of love to help settle her into a new home.

Gilderoy

Gilderoy the bunny is at the shelter and looking for a family.

Rabbit of the Week – Gilderoy

Gilderoy the bunny is a tiny little guy looking for a whole lot of love! Could it be you? This little man found his way to our shelter as a stray and, unfortunately, his previous family has not come to find him.

This little bun just wants someone to love him dearly! That’s why we’re on a mission to find him a forever home. Gilderoy is a very sweet chap but can become quite nervous around grabby hands or fast movements. We think he would best suit a rabbit-experienced home, willing to be patient and respect his boundaries.

Gilderoy is looking for another friendly female bun to be his new best friend! So if your resident bunny is keen to make new friends, slow and controlled interactions will lead to the bonding of a great pair.

Gilderoy will need lots of time and patience, but we are sure he has the potential to be a great addition to a suitable family.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
