ACT Policing has arrested and charged a 25-year-old woman following the execution of a Drugs of Dependence Act search warrant in Kambah yesterday.
Members of the ACT Criminal Investigations Drugs and Organised Team executed the search warrant at a Kambah home as part of a joint operation with NSW Police targeting methylamphetamine supply in the ACT and NSW.
During the search of the premises police seized approximately 40g of methylamphetamine, cannabis and a sum of money.
The 25-year-old woman was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis. She was due to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court this morning. Police planned to oppose bail.
Crime Stoppers and ACT Policing recently launched a ‘Dob in a Dealer’ campaign seeking information about illicit drugs activity in the ACT. The campaign aims to reduce and disrupt illicit drug supply in the region.
