Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
Douglas and Mademoiselle are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.
Dog of the Week – Douglas
Douglas the dog is about as cute as they get! This mixed breed Staffy X Shar Pei has the kookiest face and goofiest smile we think we’ve ever seen. Charming and handsome, this guy has a spotty blue tongue and cute floppy ears. He’s certainly an unusual looking fellow with the biggest heart.
This daring guy enjoys high energy games but will need a family willing to put boundaries in place. Douglas responds well to treats and has endless love to give the people that will call him their own. With great energy also comes a struggle of self-control. We think Douglas would benefit greatly from attending weekly training classes to master the art of patience and restraint.
Douglas is looking for a family committed to daily adventures walking through the neighbourhood and feeding him delicious meals. This handsome stud is quite the ladies man and could potentially live with another friendly female pooch.
Cat of the Week – Mademoiselle
Meet Mademoiselle! This courteous lady sometimes goes by Madam and was brought to the shelter by a good Samaritan. With some love from all of our team, this darling lady is ready to find a forever home. Madam is a sweet natured and gentle cat. But is on the prowl for a home with cat savvy owners.
It’s clear to our team that in the past she has had some positive interactions with people but may have never actually lived in a home. For this reason, we believe Mademoiselle will perfectly suit a home with one or two adults and no other pets.
It’s important for Madam’s new owners to know that she will need continued socialisation as she is wonderful at the shelter but may take some time adjusting to her new abode. With time, love and patience we’re sure this lovely feline is going to bond with her new friends famously.
Madam loves the finer things in life. Yummy treats and scratches on the head. This lovely lady will learn to love you and spend her days purring as life goes by.
Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life –you won’t regret it!
