A 26-year-old man from Warri, NSW has been charged with multiple counts of stalking and acts of indecency.

He will face the ACT Magistrates Court today (16 December).

Police allege that between 28 October and 2 November, the offender committed acts of indecency in shopping centres in Greenway, Fyshwick and Canberra City.

Police also allege that the offender returned to the scene of two incidents, loitered in the stores and harassed staff.

Following a police investigation, the man was arrested at about 6:15 pm yesterday in Gowrie.

He has been charged with 11 counts of an act of indecency without consent, and two counts of stalking.

Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted the investigation by helping to identify the offender.
