1. Police media remain in pixie land but Crimestoppers brings us this:

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to a burglary which occurred at a warehouse in Fyshwick early January 19.

Around 3.15am the Mildura Street warehouse was broken into and a large volume of property was stolen. Offender(s) gained access to the site via nearby gates.

The items stolen include twelve 52-inch Sony colour televisions, 24 boxes of Sheridan bed sheets and 20 boxes of assorted chewing gum and mints.

Police conducted a search of the area and a door knock of nearby premises but could not locate the offender(s).

AFP Forensic Services attended the business premises and conducted investigations.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen suspicious persons or large vehicles or activity in the area of Mildura Street, Fyshwick, early today to contact Crime Stoppers.

That’s right…. knocking on the doors will get them to surrender!

You must be mad or something. Perhaps they saw something?

It’d be pretty sweet having fresh new sheets, watching a big tv and chewing some gum.

Maybe they had the munchies…

I’m guessing the TVs were the main target & otherwise they just grabbed what was handy.

It’s sometimes surprising what things are considered worth stealing. Apparently Woolies has some of the tightest security around pallets of razor blades – per pallet, they’re one of the most expensive items in the inventory. Perhaps chewing gum is similar, being expensive-for-its-size.

“20 boxes of assorted chewing gum and mints”

WTF ?

Idiots.

20 boxes of assorted chewing gum and mints?

Look for the scruffy looking types with really fresh breath.
