Looking for a best buddy? Well, Banjo is your dude! Photos: RSPCA ACT.

Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Banjo, Mais and Milo are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week: Banjo

Banjo is a stunning Cocker Spaniel/Poodle Miniature mix looking for his one and only. Banjo is a great walker, very affectionate and loves to chillax. Banjo is a selfish pup, looking for a single person ready to commit to him. Banjo is still young and needs a bit of basic training, but luckily, he’s more than just beautiful! This smart boy is a fast learner and eager to please.

While he isn’t a lap dog, he longs to sit beside his best mate on the couch after a long day. Since Banjo is a small breed, he’s perfect for travel and would love to go on every adventure with his new owner. This also means he would be comfortable in a small house or apartment and doesn’t need a big yard, but he loves a daily walk.

Go into this adoption with your eyes wide open. He is a soft and sweet-looking boy who needs a go-slow approach to all handling, especially in the early days post-adoption. Banjo also needs some home-alone departure training and ongoing pleasant experiences coping with restraint, especially for veterinary and grooming procedures.

Banjo would be most comfortable in a single-person household and prefers a male presence. He interacts well with other dogs when out and about but is a little too selfish to share his best friend.

Milo and Mais

This pair of kitty cat gal pals are looking for a new home!

Cats of the week: Milo & Mais

This bonded pair was surrendered to the RSPCA ACT through no fault of their own. They are polite, sweet and lovely cats looking for a safe and comfortable home.

Mais is a social butterfly who loves to chat and interact with people. Her counterpart, Milo, is a bit more introverted and is perfectly happy lounging in the sun. With this pair of cats, you’ll be getting the best of both worlds.

These two are perfectly suited to fit into a home where they are the only pets. They have experience with other animals but prefer their own space. Both girls are around four years old and have moved past their crazy kitten stage and are ready to settle into a chill and easy-going lifestyle. They are quiet, independent and perfect for snuggling up and relaxing with after a long day.

These easy-going kitties would fit in wherever they go if they have each other. They are the perfect yin-yang pair that can bring some excitement and calmness wherever they wind up.

They are an incredibly interactive and affectionate pair who would suit a home with adults, a family, kids or even just a bunch of roomies looking for some furry friends.

If you’re interested in adopting any of these pets, come down to the RSPCA ACT Shelter at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, between 10 am and 3 pm Monday to Saturday to say hello!

Paw note: We recently featured Clayton the kelpie and Peaches the cat. Peaches has found a new home, and Clayton is still on the lookout for his forever home.
