Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Chance and Lottie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the Week – Chance

Sweet Chance is ready to find his new family! Chance is looking for a committed home that will have the time and patience to handle a high drive dog with boundless energy. Chance will make the perfect companion for anyone that loves exercise like running or bike riding, playing games, sharing treats and just doing stuff.

Chance is a Kelpie X German Shepherd who loves nothing more than playing out in the yards with our volunteers or walking daily around the Shelter. Chance will need a home with large 8 foot fencing or an enclosed dog run to ensure he stays secure inside the yard when no one is home.

Chance is a smart dog. He loves a treat and would excel at any dog sport that his new family would be willing to commit to. This charming boy is extremely trainable and would be a delight for training classes.

Handsome Chance can be a little picky about the company he keeps, but would be open to meeting a friendly female dog to move in with. If you have love to share and are looking for a new housemate, Chance could be the boy for you!

Rabbit of the Week – Lottie

Lottie is a lovely little rabbit looking for love at RSPCA ACT. Lottie came to the Shelter as a stray bunny and is now ready to hop out of here into a forever home.

Lottie comes across as a quiet and nervous girl, who doesn’t appear to have had much handling in the past. This means that Lottie will thrive best in a quiet home without young children – preferably with rabbit-savvy humans who will have the time and patience to allow Lottie to adjust to her new life.

Lottie could live as an inside or outside rabbit, but in the warmer months she will require plenty of shade to ensure she keeps cool.

Rabbits living inside can be easily litter trained, making household chores a lot easier when it comes to your bunny friend.

If you think Lottie would make the perfect rabbit friend for your family, please come and meet her at our Shelter! Please know a photo will need to be provided to staff of Lottie’s intended living enclosure before adoption.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
