On the Action Bus website they have pdf timetables for their bus routes that includes times when Easy Access buses will be running. Easy Access is essentially a nice way of saying a new bus will be running on a route at a certain time rather than the dinosaur orange buses.
In theory this helps people [...]
On an otherwise mundane Monday, I witnessed an impressive near-miss on Alinga St, Civic, as my bus approached.
Being wary of the bus’s passenger side extended mirror, I stand back a good metre or so from the kerb until the bus stops. Not so this middle-aged man preoccupied with talking on his mobile. He continued his [...]

Hi Folks
I’m curious as to the legalities of the mini bus lanes at many Canberra intersections. I understand that they are there to allow busses a head start on the green so they can merge more safely in heavy traffic. But all too many times I’ve had busses come barrelling up from behind when traffic [...]
Following on from the hate tweeting of the Blue Rapid service a reader has corresponded with Shane Rattenbury’s office and it appears hunting down the Blue Rapid is beyond the wit of TAMS:
Game on!
This morning given it was a little gray and I was a little tired I thought I’d take the bus rather than ride my bike to work. I quickly popped online to see if I had any money on my myWay card. Imainge my surprise when $20 I put on back on the 21st was [...]
We’re going to have a lot of fun with dashboard cams in the years to come.
Richard sent in this noteworthy effort by one of ACTION’s beloved bus drivers.

Description: Construction: Barton Bus Station
It’s certainly long needed down around National Circuit and Kings Avenue where the buses can really stack up at home time.
Territory and Municipal Services are letting you all know what they’re doing when over the great Easter disruption.
Here’s the skinny:

One of the worse thing about living in 2013 is the paid government operatives cluttering social media applauding each other and laughing at their bosses jokes. (That this is one of the worse things is probably a good reflection on how far we’ve come).
Owen has sent the above in with this note:
I take it Mayor [...]

ACTION have announced a new website.
Nice to see a focus on finding the right bus, but did they have to make their twitter following the first order of business?
I follow Action buses on Twitter, not so I can be riveted by exciting bus news, but so i can find out if my bus has been cancelled or is late for some reason. I get the bus two days a week.
Over the past few days my family has been affected by some cancellations, and [...]
