The Christmas spirit becomes entirely inescapable this week, with a barrage of holiday happenings scattered across town.

Powerful soul singer Laura Ingram takes to the stage at Smith’s this Sunday. It’s a homecoming of sorts, with Ingram having moved to Melbourne in 2018 to pursue her career. Fans of Aretha Franklin and Alabama Shakes will be impressed by one of Canberra’s finest soul exports.

CBR DIG are getting into the festive season as well, celebrating with Charlotte & The Harlots, The Touch Moves, Endrey and Dalmacia this Thursday at sideway for the last Crop Up Sessions of the decade.

Endrey backs it up with the launch of new single ‘Insane’ the following night at The Polo. This latest release is a cathartic journey in piano power-pop and is being launched alongside Eleanor Ailie and Bec Taylor on Friday night.

Slow Dial takes over The Polo on Saturday to launch their new single ‘Koszi’ with support from Charlotte & The Harlots, The Differs and Yes/Clarke. It’s the unofficial end to the gigging year and sees Slow Dial poised to take the mantle as Canberra’s ultimate party band.
