Police are investigating a fatal crash in Ando near Bombala in southern New South Wales this afternoon.
At about 2.25pm on Wednesday, emergency services were called to the Monaro Highway near Tip Tree Road following reports of a crash.
Initial investigations suggest two cars crashed head-on.
Following the crash two people died at the scene. They are yet to be identified.
A third person was taken by ambulance paramedics to hospital and is in a critical condition.
The Monaro Highway was closed in both directions after the accident to allow investigations to take place. A report will be prepared for the coroner.
