Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Alfie and Kyle are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Pig of the Week – Alfie

Oink, oink! Alfie the Pig is looking for a forever home to call his own. But there are a few requirements that potential owners must consider before adoption.

First, previous pig experience is a must.

Second, interested adopters must live in an area that allows pigs (check with your local council for any restrictions).

Third, a property identification code is required.

And finally, a Pigpass NVD for property to property movement must be acquired.

Alfie is a very friendly boy, but don’t let his size fool you. Alfie is over 100 kg of toddler with lots of growing to still do. But, despite his size and strength, this handsome boy is a big softie. He loves to play with his human friends, get scratches and eat a lot of treats.

Leafy greens and his special porridge are his favourite kind of snacks. Sometimes he really can’t decide what he wants more, breakfast or a belly rub. For Alfie, the answer is always both.

Alfie would love to find a home with other pig friends and plenty of room for him to run, dig and wallow. Secure fencing is a must for this big boy.

Kyle

Kyle is a beautiful boy waiting to find his purrfect match.

Cat of the Week – Kyle

Meet Kyle! A very sweet little man who is searching for the perfect humans to call his own. Kyle has been at the shelter for some time living his best life while we have tried to work through some of Kyle’s challenging behaviours. Don’t get us wrong, Kyle is a fantastic boy who loves people of any age (but does thoroughly dislike other cats and dogs). However, he has had some toileting issues.

Kyle will use his litter trays, and do so consistently until he has a moment of forgetfulness as if he has forgotten he no longer lives on the streets. These incidents are far and few between. So with the right home, lots of love and patience we’re sure there’s someone out there that will be Kyle’s perfect match.

Kyle will best suit a home with safe outdoor access, a cat run or secure yard, and multiple litter trays so he may toilet wherever nature calls.

This handsome, playful little cuddle monster is ready to find his forever home. But is willing to wait for the super outstanding owners he knows he deserves.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
